Meet Ashley
I’m Ashley Wilson, a teacher, volunteer, and lifelong Anniston resident running for City Council in Ward 4. This city is my home, and I care deeply about seeing it grow stronger, more connected, and more welcoming for everyone. I believe we can make real progress through practical solutions, open communication, and hard work—and that’s exactly what I want to bring to the table.
As a public school teacher, I’ve spent years working with families and students from all walks of life. I see firsthand the challenges people face and the potential that exists in every corner of our city. My job has taught me the value of listening carefully, building trust, and finding common ground to solve problems. These aren’t just teaching skills—they’re leadership skills our city needs.
Outside the classroom, I’ve been an active volunteer in local cleanup efforts, civic groups, and community events that bring people together. Whether it’s picking up litter along our trails, serving with local organizations, or simply showing up to support community projects, I believe in doing the work side by side. That’s how we make Anniston better for everyone—not with grand promises, but with everyday commitment.
I’m running for City Council because I want to support our local businesses, invest in our city’s future, and help build an Anniston we can all be proud to call home. I want our community to be a place where people feel heard, respected, and empowered to shape the future we share.
This campaign is about working together, listening to one another, and finding real solutions to the challenges we face. I’m ready to put in the work, and I’d be honored to earn your support. Together, we can build the kind of city that reflects the very best of who we are.
